Having a ball

What's your definition of fun?

A couple of goofy dogs?  Check
Chaos & Pandemonium

Dry weather?  Check

Wide open dog park?  Check

Room to roam
Plenty of room to run?  Check
Starting out
No leash?  Check
One clean dog
Plenty of new dogs to play with?  Check
Making new friends
A chance to roll around in the dirt?  Check
Sometimes you just have to roll with the punches
 New people to meet/lick?  Check
Claire the greeter
 Opportunity for mischief?  Check
Throw in one mud bath
Dog with a penchant for water holes?  Check
And one water dog
More chances as mischief?  Check
There's a Golden under all that

Methinks someone is having a blast
Now you may understand why I tend to shy away from the dog park after it's been raining.

Looks like a good time was had by the dogs, anyway! I'm sure the water is just TOO hard to resist. Besides, they know you don't REALLY mind letting them get into some mischief.

I'm glad you let them have their fun! I, myself, don't quite understand the attraction of mud, but dogs sure do. In fact, our golden retriever came back to our house yesterday covered in mud. She usually gets grounded to the utility room for a while after that. I know she thinks it's well worth it, though.

Nothing like the smell of wet, muddy dog! That looks like a wonderful dog park.

Awesome for the dogs! Probably NOT so fun for you to clean afterwards!

Wonderful! Great photos of the hounds in action.

I know that spring is coming when Custard starts to roll in the grass. He doesn't roll in mud, but he does like to get wet if he can, as he loves a good rubdown afterwards.
